Snake in the Radio is the debut release from Mark Pickerel's group known as Mark Pickerel and His Praying Hands.

The album which was recorded between September 2004 and November 2005, involved collaborations with several artists, including Johnny Sangster of Dear John Letters' fame on guitar, Steve Fisk on keyboards, and The Young Fresh Fellows' Jim Sangster as bassist.
The recording, which also features artwork from Neko Case of The New Pornographers, was released in May 2006 via Bloodshot Records
