SNUB (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
SNUB is a British metal-core band.
Between 1995 and 2004, SNUB produced some great metal/hardcore tunes ranging from harsh to harsher, touring the UK and abroad, with 2 albums and 2 EPs to their name...countless supports and headliners with bands such as Misfits, Earth Crisis, Sikth, Lost Prophets, Iron monkey, Earthtone 9, Napalm Death, Warzone, Backfire, Misery Loves Company, One Dice, Kill II This, Turmoil, Sikth, Lost Prophets etc cemented their reputation
MATERIAL FACTS:
Snub has been releasing pent-up aggression since its first tentative steps in March 1995, through its solidification as a 5-piece in September 1997, to its current 4-man lineup in 2003. Three well received demo releases secured the band a signing to fast-rising independent label Copro Records, swiftly followed by release of the now cult MCD '360 Degree Conviction' in early 1998. Numerous UK tours ensued, including those with labelmates Earthtone9, Swedish metallers Misery Loves Co. and British noise merchants Tribute To Nothing, the latter two tours being Metal Hammer sponsored - and in promotion of Snub's debut full length album - 'Memories In Richter' (produced by Dave Chang and released in March 2000). In addition, a vast array of one-off shows saw Snub perform with a diverse range of other acts, which included One Minute Silence, Earth Crisis, Turmoil, Stampin Ground, Medulla Nocte, Napalm Death, The Misfits, Iron Monkey, Cynical Smile, GF93, Kill II This, SikTh plus many others!
Two lineup changes in 2000 temporarily saw the band writing and performing as a 4-piece, the lineup returning to its full strength towards the end of the year, only to find itself disintegrating into nothing at all at the end of March 2001 following the departure of three of its five members! However, in October 2001 the band re-grouped and ventured into the studio in December 2001 to record its latest offering - the ep 'The Harvest' - released through Copro Records in May 2002. Further lineup changes sees the band now permanently settled as a 4-piece, with members James Iaciofano (Choff) on vocals, Martin Jeffery on bass & backing vocals, Martyn Aslett on guitar and Luke Duffield on drums completing the new lineup (bizarrely Luke was Snub's very first drummer back in 1996!).
