Social Distortion's seventh studio album is currently scheduled to be released sometime in 2007. No official release date and title for the album have been set. This will also mark the first Social Distortion album to not feature bassist John Maurer since 1983's Mommy's Little Monster. He is replaced by current bassist Brent Harding.

Frontman Mike Ness first mentioned a follow-up to Sex, Love and Rock 'n' Roll to the press around 2005 and told Crush Music Magazine that the band would start recording it towards the end of 2006, making it likely that it would be released in the following year.[1]
Writing and rehearsing for the album began in mid-2006[2] and after the Sex, Love and Rock 'n' Roll tour was finished, Social Distortion started recording sessions during their holiday break.[3]
