Social Tension

Social Tension is a Canadian punk rock band from Montreal, Quebec.
In june 0f 2002,guitarist and singer Anthony, Bassist Jason Skoda, and drummer Carl, 3 bored kids fromthe North shore of Montreal, started a punk band. Under the influence of Green Day, Rancid, MxPx, Blink 182,The Ramones and many more of today and yesterdays biggest punk acts , they started practicing in skods' basement. The weeks went by, Randy Mccone joined the band on Guitar, Andrea Silver picked up on drums, filling up the void that was lacking from the original lineup . After only 2 months of practicing,and only a few originals under their belts, Shows Started heading the bands way one after another, beginning with a three performance month of August 2002.
Social Tension is also a Japanese progressive rock band.
The members are :
- Nobuo ‘Kodomo’ Endoh : keyboards
- Masahiko Ota : bass
- Suguru ‘Yataro’ Iwasaki : drums
The sounds and arrangements of their music is similar to the early works of Emerson, Lake and Palmer, with vintage keyboard sounds such as Hammon organ, Minimoog, Mellotron along with modern numeric sounds.
