[edit] Importance
Since there's now an {{importance}} tag on this article, I should explain that the Committee on Socialist Studies was a large student group active in Canada nation-wide in the 1960s and 1970s. Socialist Studies was its official journal. The Committee held annual national conferences which issued printed proceedings. As far as I know, both the Committee and its journal folded in the 1980s. Since the activity of this group predates the World Wide Web, it is difficult to find references to them online. However, major Canadian universities should have ample information on both the Committee and the journal in their libraries and archives. I'm not in close proximity to a Canadian university, but any Wikipedian who is, or better yet, one who was himself a member of the Committee, should be able to provide relevant details. —Psychonaut 00:55, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
