A article you have recently created "Richard Pombo" has been deleted, your edit was as follows:
-
- Acccording to High Country News, the Wikipedia entry for Richard Pombo, Republican California Congressman and foe of the 1973 Endangered Species Act and other environmental leglislation, was scrubbed and sanitized over the 2006 Super Bowl weekend, as reported by the Argus, a newspaper in California's East Bay area.
-
- There has been no proof that anybody directly connected to Pombo was behind this sanitizing of his image. Nonetheless, as of Feb. 26, a month after the Super Bowl, Wikipedia now says it has no page for Richard Pombo. I have posted this stub as a start.
This article is improperly named, and the proper name already exists. This article has been deleted, however you may want to recontribute your edit to Richard Pombo. Thanks, xaosflux Talk/CVU 05:55, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
- The search function doesn't always work the way we would like it to, and I have no problem with your content at all, please see this section WP:NAME#Avoid_non_alpha-numeric_characters_used_only_for_emphasis, and the others on that page, for styles of naming new articles. In this case, articles that don't start with a letter cause issues for the index, some links, and some search functions, it is a common mistake amongst newer editors, and I copied the page here so you would not have to reype your work if you decided to add it to the existing article. Happy editing, xaosflux Talk/CVU 05:23, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
