Sol Líneas Aéreas is an Argentine airline founded in 2005 and operating since 14 August 2006. It is the first regional low-cost airline in Argentina.[citation needed]
The airline is owned by the Transatlantica Group, based in Rosario, Argentina.
Dedicated to the center region of Argentina with headquarters in Rosario, Santa Fe, Sol has a fleet of two Saab 340A airplanes, seating 34 passengers. It currently serves five airports in central Argentina: Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Rosario, Rafaela, and Santa Fe[1].
In October 2006, the airline announced that in December or January, it would begin offering service to three cities on the Atlantic Coast: Mar del Plata, Villa Gesell, and Punta del Este (Uruguay).[2]
