Sonia is a film that is currently in production and being directed by the Indian filmmaker Jag Mundhra, written by Carl Austin and starring Italian actress Monica Bellucci. According to the BBC its estimated finish time will be in December of 2006. The film is about the life of the current president of the leading Indian National Congress party (also known simply as the Congress party), Italian born Sonia Gandhi.

The Indian National Congress has stated that they object to the film because the filmmakers have not received consent from Sonia Gandhi or any of the family members and that the accuracy of the film is unknown.
