Sonny Whitelaw

Sonny Whitelaw (born August 9, 1956 in Sydney, Australia) is the author of several contemporary thriller and speculative fiction novels, including three Stargate novels.
With a degree in Geography and Anthropology from Sydney University, Whitelaw abandoned a Master’s thesis in Coastal Geomorphology in 1980 to run dive charter yachts in the Republic of Vanuatu. She later founded The Adventure Centre, an adventure tourism company, and wrote the Vanuatu government's online encyclopedia.
Whitelaw is professional photographer and freelance photojournalist. Her work has appeared in several international magazines including National Geographic. She currently lives in Brisbane Australia.
