Sorreltail's parents are Willowpelt and Whitestorm. Her siblings are Rainwhisker and Sootfur. In The Darkest Hour, she was a kit, and in this book, Darkstripe fed her deathberries and she nearly died. In between Books 6 and 7, she became an apprentice and her mentor was Sandstorm. She injured her shoulder on the ThunderPath, and so she was an apprentice longer than usual. She is good friends with Leafpool. In Twilight, she and Brackenfur fall in love, and near the end of the book, she has her kits while badgers are attacking the ThunderClan camp. Her brother dies in the battle, and she is very upset. In Sunset, we learn that the kit's names are Molekit, Honeykit, Poppykit, and Cinderkit, in memory of Cinderpelt, who died helping her give birth when a badger broke into the nursery.
