South Texas College

South Texas College is a college in Texas, founded in 1993. In Fall 2006 the school has has 18,466 students across Hidalgo and Counties of Texas. Offering AA, AS, and AAS degrees both in Transfer Track and Applied programs of study. Located in the rapid region known as the Rio Grande Valley, STC continues to grow with the same fast pace of the area.STC operates with The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) accreditation and with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Fall 2007 goal for enrollment is 20,000 students. There are many student organizations active across the multiple campuses in Hidalgo and Starr Counties of Texas. South Texas College has been in many publications such as The McAllen Monitor, The Town Crier, Valley Morning Starr, and many others
