Southwest was born on January 26, 1991 in… oh, we did this already. Right then. Skip that step.
After an earthquake in his early years, he moved to Milwaukie. He grew up there, his house directly across the street from the elementary school's field. Like literally. He could cross the street, hop the little chain fence, and he was in the field. This made getting to school in kindergarten and first grade fairly easy.
At the end of his first grade year, he was accepted into an experimental charter school. PS 2005, as it was called at the time, revolved around Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences. It was a stark contrast from his previous educational experience.
