[edit] Methodology
space150 has adapted Agile business methods to the advertising world in order to take advantage of new and overlooked communication technologies. The agency works with clients who need to create tools that work across multiple marketing channels, and develops projects for dissemination along those different channels.
[edit] History
Founded in April 2000 by William J. Jurewicz, space150 is a hybrid agency, combining the creative output of a traditional advertising agency with the technological capability to optimize clients' digital income. (The company has defined digital income as "previously unrealized revenue streams generated through digital tactics.") In 2005, space150 added a Media group that focuses on aspects of search engine marketing (i.e., search engine optimization). In 2006, space150 founded a Digital Insights group to identify and analyze cultural trends.
space150's name denotes its embodiment of change: every 150 days, the agency renews its own identity. The update is instituted systemwide, from the official website to the paper stationery. Each of their identity updates is supported with new typographical additions, iconographic systems, pattern families, and brand language. They maintain an archive of their past identities.
In August 2006, space150’s R&D group spacelab launched wearetheweb.org, a viral site and music video urging action to protect network neutrality.
