Space Puppy

The Space Puppy was a fictional canine in the Star Trek episode The Enemy Within. It closely resembled a cocker spaniel or a dachshund, but had a long, pink, llama-like coat, and a spike growing out from above its eyes which resembled a rhinocerous horn.
The animal was found on Alfa 177 and used in a transporter experiment to merge the good and evil sides of a being back into one form. Though the Space Puppy died in the attempt to reintegrate it, the integration of Captain Kirk was more successful.
