Talk:Spencer Davis Group

Tweaked a few things, mainly punctuation and spacing. Looks like it was written by someone whose first language was German judging by word order and punctuation. For example I got rid of "coverversions". This isn't a bad thing as it got the article underway, but it did lead to some awkward word order and such. I tried to match it a bit more to Wikipedian English with the recommended style pages, but it still needs a rough go-through along with some seriously major sourcing! Who says the jazz albums are "good"? I am not saying they are not, just that they reflect a non-neutral point of view. If something is "good," cite the source, as in "Joe Blow, from the New Braunfels Daily Zeitung says that the jazz albums were 'really good'".
Spencer Davis's page says that he was born in 1939, but his group's page says he was born in 1942. Crobzub
- My research tends to agree with 1939 as the correct year. Thus the group's page is now amended to agree (unless anyone cares to proffer alternative evidence).

Did Davis actually play lead guitar in the classic line-up? I always understood he played rhythm, while Winwood played lead (as well as organ and singing).Widmerpool 15:50, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
