Square (building area)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The square is an Imperial unit / (non-SI non-metric) of floor area, used in Australia. It is defined as the area under the roof of the building and each square is 100 sq feet or 10 foot by 10 foot. It is often used by estate agents to make the building sound larger as it includes outside areas under the eaves, and so cannot be directly compared to the (internal) floor area.
