Generally speaking, Wikipedia seeks to avoid too many external links in articles. See WP:EL. It's also true that an external link should be as definitive as possible in relationship to the subject of the article. For instance, an article about the photographer could certainly have a link to his home page. But an article that is simply about a subject that he shoots (as do hundreds of other people) does not necessarily need a link to this photographers work. Editors who simply add external links to articles are often percieved to possibly have a Conflict of interest in regards to these links. Given this link, I think it's clear that a conflict of interest exists: Squaddie John's MiliSM site. I've removed these links from the article's you've posted them in. We do not allow original research in Wikipedia, and we frown on self-promotion as well. Please do not re-add this links. Doing so would be construed as a policy violation and might result in official warnings and possible editing blocks. Rklawton 13:02, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
