Sri Dharmasthala

Sri Manjunatha (Lord Shiva's Temple) is located in Dharmastala. It is about 75 Kilometers from Mangalore. Dharmasthala means a place where Dharma is followed. The place is a classic example of unity in diversity. The deity of temple is Shiva. The priests are Madhwa Shivalli Brahmins followers of Vishnu and administration is in the hands of Jain.It lies in the foothills of western ghats in Belthangady Taluk of Karnataka. Plenty of government and priviate buses ply in this route and also it is well connected with most of the prominent places of Karnataka.
