Sri Sathya Sai Vidhya Vihar is one of the oldest schools in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. It is run by the Sri Sathya Sai trust and is a proud follower of the Sri Sathya Sai Baba tradition for human values and social work.
Set up in 1980, as a small insititute of less than 10 students and 2 teachers, the institute has today grown to a top institute in Central India, providing quality education to about 2500 children and with a faculty of about 75. It also has alumni spread around the globe, working in different fields of expertise, and contributing their bit to society.
It has been by far the most sought after school in Indore, providing both quality education, and a deep sense of social feeling in the minds of its students.
The first Principal was Mrs. Maitreyi Padmanabhan, affectionately known as 'Big Madam' or 'Badi Teacher'. She is a well known educationist in Central India, with more than 40 years of teaching experience behind her.
Another Principal was Mr. M.G.Paranjape, who is now the director of a number of Sathya Sai Institutes in the country.
The current Principal is Mr. S.N.Patwardhan, himself a notable figure in his field of expertise, which is mathematics.
With consistent records of 100% first class in Central board examinations for the past few years, the institute has set very high standards of learning, which it strives to uphold every year.
And by imbibing basic human values in every student of the school, it has made sure that the children will do a lot more for the country than what is required of them. The daily EHV (Education in Human Values) session is just a step in the direction. The institute ensures that what is preached in these sessions is also practised, and becomes a part of life for the students.
The school recently kicked off its 25th anniversary celebrations and has earmarked a whole year of programmes for marking the important milestone.
the school doesnot hold the competion with the school in indore but all over the world. the main aim of the school is to provide quality education + develop basic human value in the students. the only complain with this school is that it doesnot have cricket as a sport activity
