Stéphane Bergeron

Stéphane Bergeron (born January 28, 1965 in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian politician.
Bergeron is formerly a member of the Bloc Québécois in the Canadian House of Commons, representing the riding of Verchères—Les Patriotes from 2000 to November 9, 2005 and Verchères from 1993 to 2000. He resigned his seat in the House and won a provincial by-election on December 12, 2005, under the Parti Québécois banner. He became the member for Verchères of the Quebec National Assembly. He was reelected on March 26 2007.
Bergeron is a former political adviser and teaching assistant. Bergeron held many positions as a Member of Parliament including whip of the Bloc and critic of Parliamentary Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Industry, Science, Research, and Development, and International Trade and Asia-Pacific. Bergeron served in the Canadian Navy from 1984 to 1993.
