[edit] History
St. Anthony College Preparatory High School, founded in 1920 by the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart to provide quality, affordable Catholic education to families in the Long Beach area. College-bound students from diverse cultural, religious, and economic backgrounds come together to participate in a rigorous program of academic excellence and extra-curricular activities.
St. Anthony was once two schools—a boy's school and a girl's school. Shea Hall, (formerly the "A" building) was the Girls School and the "B" building was the Boys School with the "L" building housing the Library and administration offices. The "girls" school had their own Alma Mater that was retired when the two schools merged in 1968 and adopted the "boys" Alma Mater that we use today.
