St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers serves Beech Grove, Indianapolis, Mooresville, Plainfield and south-central Indiana.
Rooted in the tradition of the Catholic Church and the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration, the hospital provides quality services in a trustworthy, compassionate manner.
St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers is the only teaching hospital in Indiana to receive the HealthGrades Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence three years consecutively. The hospital is ranked among the top 5% of all hospitals in the country for overall clinical performance.
The hospital traces its origin back to 1914 when the Order of the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration founded a hospital in Beech Grove, Ind. Today, it is one of the largest health care systems in Indiana, with three main facilities in Beech Grove, Indianapolis and Mooresville. Additional outpatient facilities are located throughout the southern and western parts of greater Indianapolis, including our new St. Francis - Plainfield Health Center, which opened in April 2006.
Services include: Orthopedics (including Center for Joint Replacement Surgery and Center for Hip & Knee Surgery), Cancer Care,Heart Center, Hospice,Women and Children's Services, Medical & Surgical Weight Loss Center, Franciscan Center for Integrative Medicine, Spirit of Women membership program, Senior Promise membership program, School of Medical Technology.
St. Francis Hospital is part of a network of 12 hospital campuses in Indiana and Illinois owned and operated by the Sisters of St. Francis Health Services, Inc. The St. Francis Mission: To continue Christ's ministry in our Franciscan tradition.
