St. George's F.C. is a football club in the Mediterranean island of Malta, currently playing in the Maltese Premier League, and is popularly claimed to be the pioneers of Maltese civilian football.
St. George's F.C. was founded in 1890 by the amalgamation of three teams, St. Andrew's, St. George's and Santa Margerita, which was set up in Cospicua (Bormla) during the last years of the 19th Century.
During the first years of the 20th Century they became Civilian Champions. The best season for the Cospicua team was 1916-17 during which St. George's F.C. won the 'double' by being crowned League Champions and Knock Out Cousis Shield Winners.
