St. John's College is a Roman Catholic high school in Ontario. The high school is located in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. Like in most Catholic schools, wearing school uniforms during school hours is mandatory. Also, some courses deal with theological topics.

In 1941, Brantford Catholic High School opened in the basement of St. Ann's Elementary School with just one Grade 9 class. A new class was added each year until 1951 when the school moved to a former residence on Duffrin Ave. From 1951 to 1978, the priests of the Congregation of the Resurrection acted as the principals. In 1959, the schools name changed to St. John's College. In the 1970-71 school year, St. John's College merged in with Providence College at the present day Paris Road location which took the name, St. John's College. In the 1980's, the student population had grown so much, that expansions were constructed to the building. A new cafeteria, triple gym, teacher lounge, and 13 classrooms were constructed with help from community fundraising. In 1989, more additions were added with the entrance, 9 classrooms, administration offices, cafetorium, health center and guidance center. In 1991, enrolment topped 1700 students, which was followed by the opening of Assumption College on Shellards Lane in September, 1992, as well as Holy Trinity Catholic High School in Simcoe, Ontario in 2001.

The team name for all St. John's teams is the St. John's Eagles. A few of the Eagles teams throughout the year includes basketball, soccer, rugby, volleyball, football, baseball, softball, track and field, golf, wrestling, badminton, curling and tennis.
[edit] Other Extra Curricular Activities
St. John's College is steeped in various arts, in particular Drama and Music. The music program is very much respected and has won numerous awards and honours, including participating in several regional and national competitions. The Drama department is also well established for its ambitious major productions (CATS, FAME, Little Shop of Horros, Our Town, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat); for Stage 12 which showcases the talents of the graduating Drama class and finally it's yearly participation in the Sears Drama Festival, which has brought the department several awards of excellence and merit. The productions at the school this year consist of Into The Woods (Major production), The Ultimate Fudge (Stage 12) and Painkiller Jack, a sci-fi oriented, student written and directed psychological horror piece (Sears Drama Festival).
