[edit] St. Canard and Duckburg
Is Duckburg really across the bay from St. Canard? I know that in one shot of Duckburg in Duck Tales the Movie, you can see an island and buildings that have a passing resemblence to St. Canard. But nowhere in either Duck Tales or Darkwing Duck does anyone ever say the cities are right next to each other. If St. Canard's just across the bay, why would Fenton Crackshell (as himself, not just as Gizmoduck) stay at D.W's house in few episodes? Wouldn't Scrooge McDuck visit his businesses in St. Canard (maybe the high crime rate makes it unprofitable to do business there)? Besides that, the bay (and bridge) have different names and appearances in each series. In Darkwing Duck, its the Audobahn Bay Bridge (and Audobahn Bay). In Duck Tales, its the Duckburg Bay Bridge and Duckburg Bay.
- I'd say it's likely, given how different the areas are, that the bridge and its highway merely lead towards Duckburg. It could be a direct link, just quite a ways away, similar to how Saint Louis and Chicago are connected--the highway does lead to Chicago, and you could say it's the route to Chicago (this being I55), but they're not really neighbour cities. Besides, the Money Bin would definitely draw attention, were it in the seedier St Canard, or even close (it'd at least be visible). Overall, I can sort of see how St Canard is to Duckburg how Gotham City is to Metropolis. IL-Kuma 06:25, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

Was never covered in canon where, when, or how Canard might have lived and died, or what his/her specialty of intercession or patronage might be. knoodelhed 17:23, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
