Saint Joseph, Missouri (St. Joe) is the county seat and largest city in Buchanan County and the sixth largest city in the U.S. state of Missouri. The St. Joseph Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes Buchanan, Andrew, and DeKalb counties in Missouri and Doniphan County, Kansas, has an estimated population of 122,934 in the year 2003.

The music scene in St. Joe and the surrounding towns, is of a unique mix of several music styles, all which share many of the same fans and bands. Currently, the venues for the music scene consist of The Apple House, all ages, and the Dojo(now defunct), also all ages.
