Stagecoach New Zealand is New Zealand's largest bus company, operating in Auckland and Wellington, with a combined fleet of around 1,000 vehicles. It also owns a 96% of Fullers Ferries Auckland.

Stagecoach New Zealand was formerly part of the British Stagecoach Group, and began operations when the firm acquired the Auckland and Hutt Valley suburban bus operations of the New Zealand Railways Road Services, then branded CityLine, in the 1990s.
In 1992 Stagecoach expanded Wellington operations by purchasing Wellington City Transport, the largest bus operator in Wellington from the Wellington City Coucil, and then greatly expanded its Auckland operations in 1998 by purchasing Transportation Auckland Corporation (trading as The Yellow Bus Company) from the Auckland Regional Council.
Stagecoach New Zealand is now owned by infrastructure investment company Infratil, which bought the firm from its United Kingdom parent company in November 2005. Despite the change in ownership, it has so far retained the Stagecoach name and livery which the Stagecoach Group has agreed to let Infatil use the name & livery for five years as of sale.
[edit] Company rebranding
In November 2006 Infratil announced a nationwide rebrand of Stagecoach services.
- The rebranding of most Stagecoach Auckland services is yet to be announced. However, buses operating out of the North Shore and Hibiscus Coast depots have already begun running with the new North Star branding and livery. The branding and livery for North Star were announced on 4 December 2006.
- In November 2006, Infratil announced that Stagecoach Wellington services would begin operating under the new Go Wellington brand from early 2007, with updated yellow and black livery.
- The rebranding of Cityline Hutt Valley services is yet to be announced, but it is speculated that the new livery will be the Metlink green and blue, with a darkish green covering most of the bus and a blue along the roof, with Metlink branding on the sides[citation needed].
