A 6' 9" forward, Love played collegiately for the University of Oregon Ducks from 1968 to 1971, and was the 9th pick in the 1971 NBA Draft, chosen by the Baltimore Bullets. He had a four-year professional career with Baltimore and the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association, and the San Antonio Spurs, then of the American Basketball Association.
