[edit] G3 releases
Star Catcher was released in the United States, Canada and United Kingdom with the video Dancing in the Clouds, a brush and a tiara. She was the first pegasus to be released in the G3 line and the only pegasus to have fabric wings attached to her body. Subsequent G3 pegasi had moulded wings, similar to their G1 counterparts.

[edit] Animated features
Star Catcher has officially appeared in two of the My Little Pony animated features. She is drawn differently to her toy counterpart in that she has white wings instead of blue.
[edit] Dancing in the Clouds
Star Catcher first appeared in the direct-to-video animated feature Dancing in the Clouds.
Sky Wishes makes an extra-special wish to help Twinkle Twirl with a complicated dance called Dancing in the Clouds. After chasing a kite ("Catch a kite and make a wish!"), she meets Star Catcher. Star Catcher takes her to the secret home of the pegasus Ponies on Butterfly Island. There, Star Catcher's butterflies show Sky Wishes what it's really like to "dance in the clouds". With the butterflies' help, Twinkle Twirl's dance is pulled off successfully.
[edit] Friends Are Never Far Away
Friends Are Never Far Away was released on DVD in 2006 with the My Little Pony toy Hidden Treasure.
Apart from the meeting of Sky Wishes and Star Catcher, the Ponies and pegasus Ponies have never met. Star Catcher tries to encourage the shy pegasus Ponies to go to a party in Ponyville and meet the Ponies, but the pegasuses are hesitant. Eventually the Ponies decide to take the party to the pegasi on Butterfly Island. Sky Wishes and Star Catcher are delighted that the different Ponies finally meet and have fun together.
[edit] Mistake appearances
[edit] Pinkie Pie and The Ladybug Jamboree
The Ladybug Jamboree was a short animated Flash presentation available on the Hasbro website. It has not been released on video. In one of the scenes, Star Catcher (without her wings) can be seen standing in the audience in front of a stage.
[edit] The Princess Promenade
Star Catcher appears a few times. She is mostly drawn without wings, but in one shot she has thin, gossamer wings resembling those of the Breezies'. At the end of the film she is invited up onto the float with Wysteria.
