[edit] General Information
Hits & Favorites, also known as ABC AC, is one of the 24 hour live formats produced by the ABC Radio Network. ABC AC combines a highly-researched Adult Contemporary music mix targeted to females 25-49.
Citadel Communications purchased ABC Radio Networks and the ABC Owned and Operated radio stations from The Walt Disney Company in February, 2006 and will continued to use the ABC name. The Citadel acquisition is expected to be completed later this year and does not include Radio Disney or the ESPN Stations.
[edit] History
Starstation was part of the original Satellite Music Network, with studios in Mokena, Illinois, outside of Chicago. After being acquired by ABC/Capital Cities, the Starstation format moved to studios in Dallas, Texas, along with many of the other SMN formats.
