Stefano Franscini

Stefano Francscini (October 23, 1796 - July 19, 1857) was a Swiss politician and statistician. He was one of the initial members of the Swiss Federal Council (1848-1857).
He was elected to the Federal Council of Switzerland on November 16, 1848 and died in office on July 19, 1857. He was affiliated to the Free Democratic Party of Switzerland. During his office time he held the Department of Home Affairs.
