Stephen Shirley (born May 14, 1983 in Scotland) is a Scottish-American soccer player who last played defender and midfielder for the Kansas City Wizards of Major League Soccer.
Shirley played college soccer at the University of Mobile in 2002. He helped them to the 2002 NAIA National Championship. The next year he transferred to Virginia Commonwealth University were he played from 2002 to 2005. He started 55 matches for the Rams and led them to two NCAA Tournament appearances. He also played in the USL Premier Development League for both Des Moines Menace and Richmond Kickers Future.
He was drafted in the third round 29th overall by the Kansas City Wizards in 2006 MLS SuperDraft, but saw no first team matches during the season and was waived following the season.
He holds dual citizenship in the United States and Scotland, and has represented both nations in various youth national matches.
