Stephen Valiquette (born August 20, 1977) is a Canadian goaltender for the New York Rangers organization of the National Hockey League. He won his first game in almost 3 years with the New York Rangers in a shootout. He is the backup to NHL superstar goaltender Henrik Lundqvist. Valiquette is going to see more time now that Kevin Weekes the other backup goaltender is out with a minor injury suffered during a practice February 13.
