Stevens Genes is the second episode of the first season of the Disney Channel original program, Even Stevens. It was written by Ehrich Van Lowe and directed by Paul Hoen. It originally aired on June 17, 2000.
[edit] Plot
Larry Beale (Eric "Ty" Hodges) is put in charge of the stop watch in Louis's gym class. He reports that Louis has run faster than his brother Donnie (Nick Spano), the school's greatest sports star causing Louis to become interested in making a successful name for himself along with the others in his family. This is actually a plot by Larry Beale to embarrass the Stevens family. He continues falsifying Louis's track abilities with the goal of winning the up-coming track meet and beating the "fastest" Stevens. During the climactic race, one of the runners falls and Louis stops to help him, forfeiting the race but winning over the crowd.
