User:StefanBot
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This bot will read fish pages, parse the taxobox and find the scientific name , find a good place to put a fishbase and ITIS reference on and insert that reference.
- If fishbase link or template already exists in the article the bot will do no edit.
- If a ITIS link or template already exists in the article the bot will do no edit.
- The boot will also check that the scientific name actually leads to a existing fishbase page, therefore verifying the scientific names in the taxobaox.
- If Reference section exists it will add the reference there otherwise it will add a reference section.
- if it does a edit it will unify References, External links, See also, related articles and i..e removing additional spaces, plural s and set the upper/lower cases.
It will place the reference section before the first of the following sections
- See also
- External links
- related articles
[edit] Conservation status (proposed)
The boot will look in the taxobox and see if conservation status is already there, if so nothing is done. The boot will check that the article is about a species not a genera, if not nothing will be done. The boot will get the sientific name from the taxobox and get the conservation status and insert that into the taxobox after tha name tag.
