Jones joined local side Glascote Swifts in 2005, where he played as a striker and even spent some time as Assistant Manager and even a few days in sole charge, but after playing a couple of games for the club, Jones left due to a fallout with manager Sean Pegg about team selections.
[edit] Amington Village F.C.
Jones is currently playing for Amington Village where he plays as a holding midfielder, the club were once again formed by Jones himself and since the clubs first game on 19 July 2006 to the end of the 2006 season, Jones has played a total of 23 games finding the net just 3 times, but in his defence he has spent most of the season trying to find the right position to play, so far he has played as a Goalkeeper, Centre back, Left back, Centre midfield, Left midfield and as a striker, but does say he has really found his feet in the holding roll, allowing Dave Smith to drift forward while Jones acts as a fifth defender.
