Stockcross
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Stockcross is a village in Berkshire, England.
The village lies to the west of Newbury in the district of West Berkshire.
It is the site of a brick-built church (St John's) dating from 1839, a small shop/post-office which is also a B&B, and two pubs: the Lord Lyon and the Rising Sun.
Berkshire's only 5-star hotel, The Vineyard, is in the local vicinity and offers a Michelin-starred restaurant. In January 2007 the restaurant was awarded a second star.
