Stremţ, Alba

Stremţ (Hungarian: Diód or Diódváralja; German: Nußschloss; Latin: Subalpestris) is a commune of Alba County, in the Apuseni Mountains of Western Transylvania, Romania.
With a population of 2,932 (according to the 2002 census), the commune comprises the villages of Faţa Pietrii (est. 1956), Geomal (est. 1262), Geoagiu de Sus (est. 1282), and Stremţ (est. 1334). The current mayor, Ioan Sârbu, was elected in 2004.
