[edit] Widely regarded as the best? By who??
I've commented out (so it can be reworded later) "The newspaper is widely regarded as one of the best in the United Kingdom, winning awards for its design and content, and with many of its writers going on to become internationally renowned journalists.". Never mind the POV nature, I'd say quite a lot of students here (UoE) would disagree with the first part. I wouldn't take the view of an ex-president of the newspaper (who started the article) as exactly widely.
As to the second part, maybe (someone more knowledgeable than me) actually listing some of the awards Student has won? Same regarding the later becoming renowned journalists part. That way the article would expand a bit and we wouldn't just have single sentence paragraphs. Other parts that could be put in maybe a small Controversy section as well? Like the (couple?) of times that it made an error of judgement and got threaten with lawsuits. Just some suggestions, ignore me if you will. -- KTC 02:03, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Ha! Point taken. But it is (or, at least, was) widely regarded as one of the best in the UK by people in the industry, if not by our own dear collegagues at the uni. I'll add some more stuff into this article before I forget it all. --taras 22:08, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
