Suffern High School is located in the Ramapo Central School District in Suffern, New York. Its mascot is the Mountie lion. The school has many features including Unit Lunch, a rotating schedule, an art fitness center from FIT LINNx and spinning room, an all season track, a pool, an amphitheater, a planetarium, auditorium, a gymnasium and more. Suffern High also offers many sports. There are over 60 Extracurricular activities, many of which take place during Unit Lunch. Some sports games are played at Suffern Middle School, right up the road. The middle school has an 8-lane all weather track, 2 Astroturf fields, a baseball field with irrigated grass, a softball field with a clay infield and more. Suffern High school students can take any type of class, if they have the appropriate grades. Many Honors level classes, as well as AP level classes are offered. Suffern is very advanced in technology, with new Macintosh computers running Boot_Camp thus being able to dual boot Windows_xp and Mac_os_x. They also have PCs. Suffern High is ranked in the top 500 high schools in the country.
