Suhuf-i-Ibrahim

The Suhuf-i-Ibrahim (Scrolls of Abraham/Ibrahim) (Arabic: صحف ابراهيم) are part of the religious scriptures of Islam,and are believed to be lost by some.
In two suras, which are to be dated from the first Meccan period, there is a reference to the 'leaves, scrolls' (suhuf) of Abraham/ אַבְרָהָם /Ibrahim/ ابراهيم and Moses/Moshe/מֹשֶׁה /Musa/ موسى, by which presumably texts of revelation are meant (87:18-19; 53:36-37). The contents of this revelation is not known from the Qur'an.

It is the theory of some members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that Suhuf-i-Ibrahim refers to the books known collectively as the Pearl Of Great Price. These books being The Book of Abraham and The Book of Moses. The Pearl Of Great Price was revealed to their (according to his account) Prophet Joseph Smith, for whom some of the members of this denomination use the "peace be upon him," honorific). It is the position of said church that all that of its members are either natural decedents of Abraham (mostly through Israel but possibly Ishmael also) or they are adopted into the family of Abraham. It is the position of some Latter-Day Saints that because we are adopted into Abraham that all baptized LDS members are both Jews (IE Israelites) and Muslims. These writings profess to contain the words of Moses/Musa and Abraham/Ibrahim that are not found in the Koran/Qu'ran and also not found In the Torah/Tawrat, nor in any known or widely accepted Hadith.This view is not widely accepted or studied within LDS communities.
