Sun Air (Fiji)

Sun Air was an airline based in Nadi, Fiji. Sun Air was a FJAR 145 certified maintenance organisation with internationally recognised safety standards. Its Director of Maintenance and Quality Assurance Manager have over 60 years of experience. It ceased operations on 31 January 2007, following its purchase by Pacific Sun.

Don Collingwood, a pilot and businessman, founded what became Sun Air in 1980, under the name Sunflower Airlines. It began with one aircraft, flying the Nadi-Taveuni route. By January 2007, its fleet had grown to 12 aircraft, and the company employed nearly 140 staff.[1]
