Sunshine Anderson is a African-America R&B singer. She was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, but later moved to Charlotte, North Carolina as a young child. Wallace Sellars, a friend of a producer/Soulife A&R Vice President Mike City, heard Anderson singing on her way to the cafeteria of North Carolina Central University, her college, and introduced the two. From there, Anderson was managed by Macy Gray during the recording of her first album. Sunshine began her success in 2000. She started gettting recognition for singing.
In 2001, Sunshine Anderson released her first album. Her debut album "Your Woman" was ceritfied gold. The success of the album put "Heard It All Before" on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Singles chart. In late 2001, Sunshine release her second single "Lunch or Dinner" off her album Your Woman. The single did not do as well as "Heard It All Before" however. She decided to lay low for a while.
In 2003, Sunshine left Atlantic Records and started searching for a new record label. 2006 came, and Sunshine found her a new label to sign to. She signed to Matthew Knowles new and organized record label Music World Entertainment. In 2005, Sunshine announced that she would be getting back into the studio to begin work on her sophomore album. One year later in 2006, Sunshine released her new single "Something I Wanna Give You". It became a hit on the blogosphere but has yet to chart on the Hot 100. On January 23, 2007, Sunshine Anderson released her new album "Sunshine at Midnight". So far the album has only two singles, "Something I Wanna Give You" and "Force Of Nature."
