Cap "deriding" her combat abilities happened during a fight, in which he was trying to get Superia to attack him and thus damage an airtight dome around her island, rendering her sterility plan useless. I don't think he really meant it, it was just a bit of psychologicakl warfare to take advanatge of her temper. That part of the description should probably be dropped.
