Talk:Surge
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Why would you pay that much for expired surge, when you could conceivably purchase it in Norway? (and have it exported) [[User:Rhymeless|Rhymeless | (Methyl Remiss)]] 06:46, 20 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Surge does not taste the same as urge, simple as that.

[edit] NPOV?
"The beginning of 2005 brought an exciting campaign to bring SURGE back to the store shelves of Wal-Mart."
Surely the excitingness of such a campaign is for the reader to decide. Also the proximity of the words "brought" and "bring" is a little uncomfortable. I'm going to change it. TheJames 20:56, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Not in USA?
That's strange because the Chuck E. Cheese's down the street has it... -Fetology 16:53, Jun 6, 2005 (UTC)

Drikk Urge? Psh. REMOVED! Amerika 03:05, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC) Ha! I should read. In the future, totally and completley disregard me. I'm adding a caption letting people like me know that's the Norwegian label, though. Amerika 03:07, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Availability
An anon(with an ip from the US) changed this to say that you can buy this in Sweden and Denmark. I am pretty sure you can't, I have looked for it there when I've been there with no luck finding it, here(in Norway) it can be found everywhere. I am changing it back. There is something seriously wrong with this page, Surge and Urge are NOT the same drinks. Urge has a different taste. I live in Norway, and travelled to the US in 96 or so. I picked up some surge, definetly not the same soda. Someone ought to clean up the page. Urge's taste is definetly a lot better than surge, which is the reason it is still being sold here in Norway. I am not well enough versed in Wikipedia redirects and procedures, but the way I think it should be done is this: main page urge, list surge as a failed variation. Urge was the original releasename, and is the only one it is still sold as. Using surge as main article makes no sense. It should be noted that my pov is that surge tastes like piss compared to urge, and this is also the reason it failed in the US etc. Seing how the drink is still marketed as urge a lot of the first paragraph is very misleading. I have a few bottles of urge on my desk, one I bought today and it has the original logo. See http://www.cocacola.no/page3-0.jsp for information from the producers themselves. It should be noted that the colors are slightly off, a real bottle has a lot less intense coloration, both of the soda and logo in general. This is most likely an artifact of image processing. The same effect can be seen on the fanta page, where the bottles have unnatural colors.
[edit] Almost 50%?
Why not just say 45% more, or, contains 145%. Almost 50% more, where almost 50% more is a known quantity, that quantity being 45% is as overstated as this conversation point. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 128.84.98.108 (talk • contribs).

I have removed this image beause it is useless because it is horribly pixelated. Kilo-Lima|(talk) 20:32, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
