Greetings, Surachit! Please accept this message as an invitation to categorize your user page in the category Category:Wikipedians in Washington and removing your name from the Wikipedia:Wikipedians/Washington page. The page will be deleted when all users have been removed. Even if you do not wish to be placed in a category, could you take a moment to remove your name from the Wikipedia:Wikipedians/Washington page? Thanks!!

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Pixies herecomesyourman .jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Pixies herecomesyourman .jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairusein|article name}} or {{fairuse}}. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Pak21 15:18, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Pixies monkeygonetoheaven.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Pixies monkeygonetoheaven.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 13:25, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Pateros High School.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Pateros High School.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. Works by the State of Washington and its entities do not fall under the category of "a work by the US Federal Government", and such the Pateros School District does own the copyright to that image of its high school.Alemily 22:49, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] AfD List of women bass guitarists
In the past you have shown some interest in the List of women bass guitarists article. It has been nominated it for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of women bass guitarists. Regards, GentlemanGhost 20:41, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The Cure template
Thanks for creating a template for The Cure, and also for joining the Alternative Music Wikiproject. Any further contributions you have to provide are much appreciated. WesleyDodds 23:39, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
Is it possible you could upload some Smashing Pumpkins soundclips? WesleyDodds 00:42, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks! Do you happen to have "I Am One" or anything from Adore/Machina? A song each would be fine. I suggest "Perfect" and "Try Try Try". WesleyDodds 03:21, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Soulseek.PNG
Thanks for uploading Image:Soulseek.PNG. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit] Pre-ejaculate
Wikipedia:Profanity: "Words and images that might be considered offensive, profane, or obscene by other Wikipedia readers should be used if and only if their omission would cause the article to be less informative, relevant, or accurate, and no equally suitable alternatives are available." A picture of some exhibitionist's penis is indeed profane and, judging from the discussion page and frequent deletions, is clearly offensive. It does not add to the article at all, since "clear lubricating fluid that is issued from a man's penis when he is sexually aroused" pretty much tells the whole story. Clearly, you have this on their watchlist, choosing to ignore the link at "Wikipedia is not censored" to Wikipedia:Profanity, and re-add every time someone deletes. And many people will not be convinced by Wikipedia policy that violates their own ideas of what Wikipedia should be. But I hope that you will respect not only what Wikipedia rules say, but also what Wikipedia aspires to be. People who insist on unnecessary explicit photographs will make Wikipedia something avoided by teachers, students, the press, and the general public, since it enforces the popular image of Wikipedia as a Wild West where smut and lies are easily promulgated, rather than a self-regulating source of information that is just as reliable and relevant as a traditional encyclopedia. 192.68.228.4 21:58, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair-use images removed from your user page
Hello, Surachit. I've removed some images from User:Surachit/sandbox, as they are copyrighted images that are being used under claims of fair use. Unfortunately, by Wikipedia policies, no fair-use images can be used on user pages; please see the ninth item of the Wikipedia fair-use policy and Wikipedia:Removal of fair use images. These images have not been deleted from any articles. If you have any questions, please let me know. —Bkell (talk) 23:15, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Category:United States government publications
Hi! I noticed you created Category:United States government publications. This seems to be redundant with an already extant category, Category:Publications of the United States government. Could you explain your rationale for the creation? If it was an oversight, could you perhaps nominate the redundant category for deletion and move the articles to the proper category? Best, Paul 03:15, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- Great! If only everyone made fixes so readily... :) Paul 03:39, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Category:Home Birth
Hello, I am new to the wiki scene. I hope this is the right method! I noticed your image on home birth states erroneously shows NY and RI. I edited the picture but couldn't figure out how to upload it right. Thanks for all you do! Kristopher 17:10, 28 August 2006 (CDT)
- Surachit - thanks for the reply. I originally tried to upload the file with the same name. It would not let me, telling me that the file already existed. Do I have to use the "external editor" option? Perhaps next time I'll figure it out. Thanks again. Kristopher 11:10, 30 August 2006 (CDT)
[edit] Picture for the new Modest Mouse album
Hey there, I saw that you uploaded the album art for We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank, and I was just wondering how you got ahold of it. This new album, by the way, is really getting me excited! ~ magbatz 03:55, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Change to Common.css
Per recent discussions, the way in which Persondata is viewed by Wikipedia editors has changed. In order to continue viewing Persondata in Wikipedia articles, please edit your user CSS file to display table.persondata rather than table.metadata. More specific instructions can be found on the Persondata page. --ShakingSpirittalk on behalf of Kaldari 02:08, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Modestmouse-weweredeadbeforetheship.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Modestmouse-weweredeadbeforetheship.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJTalk 09:06, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Rock music invitation
Hello WikiProject Alternative music member.
WikiProject Alternative music, in my eyes, has proved to be successful "improving the encyclopaedic coverage of articles relating to alternative rock", and improving their quality as well. One specific example I have witnessed is The Smashing Pumpkins article. The page has gone from a mediocre work, to GA status, to FA nomination. Only appropriate, as the Pumpkins are undeniably one of the most influential alternative rock bands on the 1990's and beyond.
This is the stuff I wish to achieve with the somewhat recently ressurected WikiProject Rock music. I hope to also attract attention to rock music articles of all sorts, and hopefully change some to GA or FA status. I invite you to come join us, and not only be a member of alternative Wikipedians, but the rockin' ones as well.
Rock on.
