[edit] The Arcade joystick
In the middle of 1980s of the previous century Suzo entered the consumer home computermarket and produced and sold, among other gaming devices, a series of joysticks under the name "The Arcade" and gained quite a reputation among among the older gaming community.
It distinguished itself from the competition because of its robust construction, which was no surprise as it was a home version of the joystick that was used by the professional gaming industry in the video arcade halls across the world. The stick had been reinforced with a steel inside and used microswitches for the controls and fire buttons. The Arcade appeared in several variations: without a fire button, with just one, two, three or more fire buttons. Some had even a switch for autofire. The digital joystick was suitable for most 8 bit and 16-bit home computer systems as MSX, Commodore 64, Amiga, Atari ST and Amstrad CPC. Nowadays Suzo is no longer active on the consumer market.
