Swangard Stadium

The Swangard Stadium is a 6,868 seat stadium in Burnaby, British Columbia. 4,800 seats are in a covered grandstand and 2,068 seats are located on wooden, removable bleachers. It is primarily used for soccer, but other events such as Athletics (track and field) are often held there. The stadium's capcity is scheduled to be increased for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2007.
The stadium was built in 1969 and is home of the Vancouver Whitecaps of the USL (Div. 1) who list capacity at 5,722 seats. The closest SkyTrain station is Patterson Station.
The stadium will be temporarily expanded to 10,000 seats in 2007 for the FIFA Under-20 World Cup.
