Right now I've been working on the Fresno Pacific University article, as I have a fairly good knowledge of the school and its history, and it's a good place for me to contribute and focus on learning the correct styles. I have a decent knowledge of Fresno, California and other California Central Valley cities, as well as Mennonite and Anabaptist history, and have been making contributions as I have time and openings.
Since my preferred alias has been known to cause confusion, I'll explain. It's a wordplay on this and this, with one letter taken from this.
I want to stick to a one revert rule whenever possible. However, I have a bit less patience with people who think that Wikipedia is a good place for them to write an expose on whatever issue they feel a need to inform the public about.
I had a good laugh over the Wikitruth website. I kept waiting for them to say something truly insightful, or at least informative, but all I read was whining. So many people seem to think the world has to be black and white, and when something can't hold up to their unrealistic standards of purity, it must therefore be bad or a complete failure. The site reads like the rantings of petulant teenagers, and I can't honestly see why some seem to take it so seriously.
My thoughts on Wikipedia in general: a relatively good idea, but prone to flaws which simply can't be removed, though they hopefully can be restrained a bit. It has its uses, but most likely will never be considered useful by academic standards.
