SCIT (Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology) is a constituent of Symbiosis International University (SIU), formerly Symbiosys International Education Centre. It is a part of the Symbiosis Society of institutes.

SCIT's vision is "To create proactive IT professionals dedicated to excellences who deliver innovative solutions that improve the performance of their organizations". Recently it received the AICTE recognition for its efforts to provide quality education.

The ITBM is a techno-managerial course that is geared towards areas like marketing and business development in the IT industry.
The Systems programme includes inputs on business processes, software development processes, software quality, audits and domain knowledge.
The Information Systems & Security program consists of Business Processes, Information Flow, Risks associated with Information Assets etc. focuses on developing & implementing security solutions & policies for an enterprise to make itself secure.
The Network & IT Infrastructure program is about business-risk mitigation using available technologies.
The Software & Development Managers program provides design patterns and quality standards management practices to visualize the business perspective of the software industry.

SCIT has a 'Green Campus' in Pune Infotech Park, home to IT majors such as Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro etc. The campus is fully residential. It has separate hostels for boys and girls with well-equipped rooms. Mess facilities and cafeteria are provided. The campus also has a fully equipped and functional gymnasium and swimming pool . Healthcare facilities are provided on campus with a resident doctor, mini operation theater and a tie-up with a local hospital for emergency services.
There is also a modern 400-seater auditorium and an open-air amphitheater . The campus facilities include faculty housing and a guesthouse. The Campus has an Administrator, who manages maintenance of campus facilities such as security, garden, housekeeping, mess, STD booth etc. SCIT has its technical team that maintains its own labs and computers.

- Hostel:
Each room has an attached bath with hot and cold water facility. The campus security extends its services round-the-clock.
- Learning resources
SCIT's state-of-the-art learning resources are a boost to its programmes. All seven of SCIT's classrooms have network and Internet connectivity to facilitate presentations and demonstrations. Audio-visual equipments like OHP, LCD projectors, and tape-recorder, TV etc. are used for delivering lectures. An online classroom for web castings and online training is being planned. A 1 Mbps leased line keeps the campus well-connected.
- Multi-Platform labs
Three different platforms viz. Windows, Solaris and Linux are used in SCIT. The labs have the latest machines with Pentium - II and Pentium - IV CPUs. The Solaris environment is implemented on Ultra-SPARC II Sun Servers and Sun-Ray 1 thin client appliances. There are a total of 120 computers in SCIT.
- The 'Proof of Concept' lab
This is a lab to experiment with different technologies and products for simulating diverse environments. Students work on areas such as high performance networks, security, messaging etc.
- Library
SCIT has library facilities with 5,000 books on technology and management and nearly 1500 CDs. The students have an access to nearly 20,000 books housed in the same building by sister institutes.
